About Us

Elects began as Europe Elects, committed to enriching democracy by providing comprehensive public service with verified election data. Initially focused on Europe, we expanded to include other continents, forming platforms like Asia Elects, Africa Elects, America Elects and of course Oceania Elects.

We offer accessible information to curious citizens, covering crucial aspects of elections from local to continental levels. As a unique election hub, we ensure a centralized resource for electoral insights, fostering an informed and engaged public sphere.

Elects’ Proven Impact

Our extensive outreach, with over a quarter of a million followers on social media and tens of thousands of website visits monthly, underscores our significance in shaping political discourse.

Access to Data

We are committed to transparency and collaboration, making our data accessible to journalists, academics, and other information gatekeepers. This commitment fosters an informed public sphere, transcending traditional media boundaries.

Global Democracy Watchdog

Elects serves as a vigilant democracy watchdog globally, particularly in authoritarian countries. We amplify the voices of credible election observers, drawing insights from reputable sources like OECD publications. Our proactive stance promotes transparency and accountability worldwide.

Team Values

Elects is run by a non-partisan team of volunteers. We cherish diversity and welcome contributions from individuals regardless of gender, class, skin color, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, academic, or professional background.

Finances

Oceania Elects operates as a de facto non-profit, reinvesting 100% of our income into our platforms to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality, impartial election data and analysis.

Elects’ Vision

A world with cross-border political understanding and global democracy, led by a politically empowered citizenry.

Elects’ Mission

To make data related to polls and elections accessible for researchers, journalists, politicians, and citizens across borders, fostering a common understanding of global democracy.
